Integrating Analytics at Every Step

Sun, Sep 28, 2025 · 11:30 AM–12:30 PM EDT Room 341+342, Baltimore Convention Center

About this session

Session chaired by Alysha Clark
Description:
Clinical data science has emerged over the past few years as the perfect wedding of data management with data analytics. With this exciting new focus has come the explosion of a myriad of analytical tools promising real-time access to study data, deeper insights into performance, more efficient data cleaning, reduced need for SDV and on-site monitoring, and so on. It is exciting to see these tools at work once trial data is collected. But there is incredible potential for analytics to be employed from start to finish—at every step of the trial.
The goal of this session is to walk through the life of a study and show use cases for data analytics, including study design, enrollment, database build, study maintenance, mid-study data analysis, and close-out. Presenters will provide success stories (and perhaps failures) in incorporating analytics in their processes. These stories will show how analytics can be useful throughout the study process as well as how analytics and clinical data science-driven models may change the dynamics or structure of a study team. Analytics is about much more than evaluating results—it is about seeing clinical research in a new way at every step!
