Terms of use

1. Who we are

Clinical Trial Events (“we”) is run by Revise, LLC (“Revise”). These terms cover clinicaltrialevents.com and the emails we send. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t, please don’t use it.

2. Event information

We check each listing before it goes live, but organizers change dates, venues and prices. The organizer’s own website is the final word. We aren’t responsible for an event itself, for tickets bought from an organizer, or for travel booked on the strength of a listing.

We may edit, decline or remove any listing. We don’t guarantee that a listing is accurate, complete or current, and we aren’t the organizer of the events we list.

3. Your account

You need an account to review an event, say you’re going, check in, react to or suggest a place, or claim a speaker or organizer profile. You can sign in with LinkedIn or with an email and password. Give us accurate details, keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us if someone else has used your account. You’re responsible for what happens under it. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

4. What you post

Reviews, place suggestions, organizer profiles, event submissions and profile details stay yours. You give Revise a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, show and adapt them (for example, to fit a layout) on the site, for as long as they’re on it. Post only what’s true and what you’re allowed to share. A review should describe an event you attended.

We may hide or remove anything that breaks these terms, and we keep a record of reports and moderation decisions.

5. Organizers and speakers

If you claim an organization or a speaker profile, you confirm you’re allowed to act for it. We review every claim, may ask for proof, and may decline a claim or remove access later. Submissions and edits from organizers are reviewed before they appear. Listing an event is free.

6. Rules for using the site

Don’t:

• post anything false, misleading, defamatory, harassing, hateful or illegal, or someone else’s private information;
• review an event you didn’t attend, or review your own event as if you were an attendee;
• check in to an event you aren’t at, or fake your location;
• scrape the site so fast that it slows down, get around its rate limits, or probe its security;
• use the site to send spam or to collect other people’s details.

7. Our content and the place data

The site’s design, text and code belong to Revise. Don’t copy or republish them without our permission. Facts about an event, such as its name, dates and venue, aren’t ours to restrict.

The details of places around each venue come from OpenStreetMap contributors through Geoapify. Our database of those places is published under the Open Database License 1.0, and nothing in these terms limits your rights under that license. See Data sources and licenses.

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Sections 4 (for anything already shown), 7, 9 and 11 continue after an account ends.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. We don’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, Revise isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for losses that come from relying on a listing, from an event itself, or from what other people post.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is significant, we’ll email account holders at least 30 days before it takes effect and say so on the site. Using the site after a change takes effect means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If any part of them is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
