Using Historical Data to Improve Budget Accuracy

About this session
Most research organizations sit on years of budget, invoicing, and effort data they never use to inform the next negotiation. This session shows how to turn that history into benchmarks: per-visit costs, procedure-level pricing, startup effort, and the true cost of amendments and screen failures. We will discuss what data to capture, how to normalize it across therapeutic areas and study designs, and how to handle the inevitable gaps. The session also addresses how to use benchmarks credibly at the negotiating table without disclosing confidential terms. Attendees will leave with a roadmap for building an internal benchmarking capability.
