Head R&D

Dr. Sushant Kumar is the Head-R&D at ImmunoACT and contributed to India’s first and world’s most affordable CAR-T cell therapy, NexCAR19™. He leads the end-to-end development of CAR-T cell therapies including in vivo CAR-T therapies for cancers. He holds an MTech from IIT Guwahati, a PhD from IIT Bombay, and completed his postdoc training at the University of Pennsylvania, USA. He has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications in international journals, and has received several international recognitions, including the Young Investigator Award and international research grants, served on the Scientific Advisory Council of Uplifting Athletes, USA, and has been a guest editor and reviewer for several international journals.
