Renuka Munshi

Dr. Renuka Munshi is Professor & Head of Clinical Pharmacology at TN Medical College & BYL Nair Hospital, Mumbai. A clinical trial specialist with more than 25 years of experience and over 100 publications, she is involved in vaccine clinical research in various medical conditions. Her research spans Phase I–IV clinical trials of both allopathic and herbal medicines. This includes 15 vaccine studies and numerous safety and pharmacokinetic studies in healthy volunteers. Her current work covers vaccines for SARS-CoV-2, rabies, meningococcal disease, influenza, dengue and yellow fever. She is also Principal Investigator on several ICMR- and AYUSH-funded projects. She serves on several Institutional Ethics Committees, is an NABH ethics assessor, and is a Member of two FSSAI Expert Committees on novel foods and human intervention studies. She coordinates under the Government of India’s Pharmacovigilance and Materiovigilance Programmes. .
