Pramod Gawli

Dr. Pramod Gawli is a Medical Director with more than two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical and CRO industries. He has held senior medical and scientific leadership positions at Fortrea, Johnson & Johnson, MSD, Novartis, Abbott Pharmaceuticals. Currently, he serves as Medical Director at Fortrea Drug Development India Pvt. Ltd., providing medical, scientific, and drug-development expertise across the clinical study lifecycle. He contributes to medical strategy, protocol development, medical monitoring, safety review, feasibility, risk assessment, and business development for studies across APAC countries and South Africa. His career highlights include establishing and leading medical affairs teams, expanding antimicrobial stewardship initiatives to more than 150 hospitals across India, developing partnerships with national and international organizations, and supporting public-private collaboration with state government. As an MSD Fellow for Global Health, he contributed to a community-level project assessing the implementation of Schedule H1 requirements and their effect on antimicrobial use. Dr. Gawli has contributed to publications and scientific presentations in infectious diseases, immunology, oncology, tuberculosis, and clinical research.
