Julie Beyrer, DrPH, MPH, MTSC, is Director of Neuroscience Medical Affairs HEOR at Eli Lilly and Company, where she leads real-world evidence (RWE) strategy and execution for Alzheimer's disease. Julie has spent much of her career on the definition problem: how real-world data algorithms and codes are built, validated, and judged fit for purpose. Past and current endeavors include developing and validating claims-based algorithms for oncology and Alzheimer’s Disease HEOR and building related tools for HEOR scientists. Tools include developing and validating a Charlson Comorbidity Index ICD-10-CM adaptation for the United States with IBM Watson Health and co-creating the ACE-IT, an appraisal tool for RWE algorithm fit-for-purpose, with the FDA Reagan-Udall Foundation.
