Beyond the Liver: Addressing Burnout in Hepatology Practice

This thought-provoking program aims to help the practicing hepatologist understand the definition and impact of burnout. A recent survey of 185 transplant hepatologists in the US and found that 40% experienced emotional exhaustion, a significant predictor of burnout.* Therefore, this session not only includes methods to recognize early warning signs of burnout and help distinguish it from stress and depression, it also focuses on tips to combat burnout.
