SDOH significantly influence the contracts and budgets of clinical trials, particularly for studies that aim to include diverse and underserved populations. These determinants can affect recruitment, retention, adherence, and overall trial outcomes. Clinical trial sponsors, investigators, and CROs need to proactively account for these factors in their contracts and budgets. The inclusion of these considerations improves health equity and ensures that trial results are more representative of real-world patient populations.
