Redefining Patient Centricity in the Clinical Data Management & Science Ecosystem
Sun, Sep 28, 2025 · 11:30 AM–12:30 PM EDT Room 343+344, Baltimore Convention Center
About this session
Session chaired by Mike McDevitt
Description:
What does it take to challenge conventional ways and redefine patient centricity? Who are the critical stakeholders, and how can the Clinical Data Management & Science (CDM/S) fraternity collaborate with them to facilitate fit-for-purpose strategies and new ways of working for patients to pilot their participation in clinical trials, keeping their preferences, perspectives, and priorities first? Are there missing bridging roles for CDM/S to play to supplement clinical trials with the patient’s voice? Should we look at the "new when" for CDM/S involvement from inception to submission and beyond in the clinical trial life cycle? What are the possible priorities – should we replicate data burden for CDM/S to patient burden, or is it time to re-look at new ways of data acquisition? How do we approach solving the equation to marry scattered governance and merge critical functions with shared governance? What are the new avenues for CDM/S to skill up to successfully participate in and influence the ecosystem with patient-centric ways of working? This session will explore practical/implementable ideas, strategies, and ways of working to explore, ideate, and implement Patient Centricity in the Clinical Data Management & Science Ecosystem.
