About this session
Session chaired by Reema Deb
Description:
With early phase clinical trials becoming increasingly complex—driven by innovative trial designs and advancements in data collection technologies—there is a growing need to rethink traditional approaches to clinical data management. This session will explore the evolution of the Clinical Data Manager into the role of the Clinical Data Scientist, equipped to meet the unique demands of early phase studies. We will discuss how Clinical Data Scientists can collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, contribute to draft protocol development, support site and vendor feasibility assessments, and design dashboards to identify early safety signals. These proactive strategies can minimize the frequency of safety review meetings, reduce protocol amendments and deviations, and help prevent early participant dropouts.
