Transforming Compliance Culture: A “Wellness Visit” Approach to Advancing Research Quality
Mon, Oct 19, 2026 · 2:30–3:30 PM EDT
About this session
Compliance in clinical research is often perceived as reactive, audit-driven, and enforcement-focused—creating barriers between compliance programs and study teams. This session presents a transformative, practical model that redefines compliance as a proactive, relationship-centered, and educational function that drives measurable improvements in research quality and efficiency.
Using Tampa General Hospital’s Quality Review Program (QRP) as a case study, this session introduces a novel framework positioning compliance as *“a wellness visit for your research”—*a collegial, structured approach that emphasizes continuous improvement, stakeholder engagement, and early risk identification
Participants will gain actionable strategies to:
Build and sustain a compliance culture rooted in partnership and shared accountability
Connect compliance activities to stakeholder value and operational outcomes
Leverage education and advocacy to improve engagement and adoption
Implement scalable, risk-based quality review frameworks
Strengthen collaboration across clinical, operational, and compliance teams
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this session, participants should be able to:
Define Compliance Culture and describe how it differs from traditional oversight models
Explain what compliance does, why it matters, and how it delivers value to stakeholders
Identify key components required to successfully implement a proactive compliance framework
Apply strategies to build trust, engagement, and relationships with research teams
Develop an approach to scale compliance programs using education, data, and risk-based methodologies
