The launch of the Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA) under the EU Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Regulation marks a significant moment in health technology assessment in Europe. For the first time, a single, centralized clinical evidence review will be available to support reimbursement decision-making across EU member states — yet pricing, cost-effectiveness, and ultimate access decisions remain firmly in national hands.
