About this session

Overview: this session will explore concrete applications of clinical trial innovation, their learnings and how to consider the different tools in our clinical trial design toolbox when designing clinical trials. It will cover the importance of considering the research question, context and patient population when selecting the right design. Different innovative designs will be discussed including the use of digital health technologies, decentralised elements, novel digital endpoints and virtual patients.
In the panel discussion, panelists will explore the innovations that may come in the horizon, how they will our evidence generation activities and how the same regulatory principles can be applied to any future innovation.
